Time to Take Time

Time.

If you are like the women in leadership I know, I’m guessing there never seems to be enough of it and yet we all have the same 24 hours in a day.

Sometimes we want time to be “perfect”, as in waiting for the perfect time to take action.

Here’s the truth:

There’s never a “perfect”, predetermined time to do anything.

There’s always something else that you could be doing. Deadlines at work. Family obligations. Your to do list is never ending. Where are you on that list? Are you even on it? Who better to focus your time and resources on than you – the person who takes care of everything.

When you put things off using that reasoning (let’s be real, it’s really an excuse), you’re pushing your desires into the future – a future that never arrives.

Today I’m inviting you to think a little differently about time.

Productivity experts will tell you the first thing you must do if you want to get more done, is to put all your personal time-off on your calendar – the very first thing. The reasoning for this is they know we all need time away to refresh, relax and renew.

This is counter to what we actually do. It’s going to require you to tip your schedule upside down.

What do you desire for your career? How are you showing up in your family life?

Are you living out your definition of success?

What if you could redefine what success looks like to you and have it so crystal clear that it could help you make better decisions in the future about how you spend your time, the split between work and family and fun.

That’s why I created The Exhale Retreat™ for women in the business world. It’s 4 nights that are focused on you and what you crave.

Here’s my guarantee – In 5 years, you will value taking these 4 days just for you to define success in a way that is so meaningful to you that you know how to navigate any future decisions, you know how to navigate your career choices, you know how to navigate any family decisions! That’s quite an ROI!
