A CFO, a lawyer and a consultant walk into a bar…

Well, it wasn’t really a bar and they didn’t walk.

It was a Zoom call – with me.

These three women are a sample of my coaching clients and you might be wondering what they could possibly have in common.

They all have important jobs.

They have worked hard in their careers to get where they are today.

They are successful and paid well.

They value inclusivity and love helping others succeed.

And – they all suffer from the “disease to please.”

People-pleasing.

It’s one of the ways imposter syndrome creeps into your mind.

(Reminder: Imposter syndrome isn’t only about feeling like a fraud. There are several ways it manifests itself to hold you back. )

And here’s another interesting discovery:

These women all had similar scores on an assessment I use in my private and team coaching practice.

Because they value maintaining stability, they don’t want to “rock the boat” and tend to hold back their opinions and agree with decisions just to keep the peace.

Making those choices on a short-term basis might be useful in some situations.

But long-term? It can be crippling to your self-confidence.

Do you choose your words carefully as to not risk offending someone?

Do you have a difficult time being decisive when the situation requires a quick response?

Are you overly accommodating, taking on more than your share of the workload only to get frustrated and angry with yourself for doing so?

Not to worry my friend.

You’re in good company.

And – you don’t have to stay stuck in this place.

Stop apologizing.

Start speaking up.

Imagine what it would be like to speak your mind freely.

How would it feel to know the exact right decision in a fast-paced and crucial situation?

And just think of how much more time you’d have to focus on your projects and dare I say, enjoy an actual weekend without thinking about work.

Imagine it all.

Breathe it in.

This is possible for you.

You have it within you to ask for what YOU need.

You can create this in your life.

I want this for you – so very much.

I see how my client thrive once they learn how to make those all-important shifts.

If any of this calls to you, I invite you to connect with me today by scheduling a Discovery Call. Let’s talk about how you can stop apologizing and start owning your voice.
